Finding Fossils in Florida

Some of the Fossils I found this morning walking along the shore of Manasota Beach, SW Florida. Far left a 2.5" Prehistoric Horse tooth, numerous fossil shark teeth, fossil Sting Ray barb fragment, fossil turtle shell fragment and other fossil bone shards. Fossils of all kinds can be found in abundance in Florida.

Types of Prehistoric Sharks teeth you can find in Florida. The extinct Carcharodon or Meg (Megalodon)  teeth can be found as large as 7". That would have been a 70 foot long shark! With a really nasty attitude! Some of these teeth can be quite valuable!
